ANDREAS NEUMANN

Born in 1967 in Germany, this talented photographer first began his career in the world of advertising. His artistic sensitivity quickly led him to shoot with his own custom cameras and lenses in order to bring a new vision to the world of advertising and music.

Touched by the works of Ansel Adams and Italian Baroque Painter, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Neumann’s photography reflects a specific and constant willingness to play with contrast while obtaining stylized, epic and timeless images.

He's shot Pelé, Iggy Pop, Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Lenny Kravitz, Barry Bonds, Mark Wahlberg, Johnny Depp, Pierre Cardin to name a few.

In 2015 he released the award-winning book, "Lucha: A Tribute", a unique journey into the fascinating world of famous Mexican Luchadores. Special editions of the book went on sale in Paris, at the well-known Colette boutique in June 2016.

In 2017, the feature documentary "American Valhalla" was released in cinemas around the world. The film which Neumann co-directed with Queens of the Stone Age lead, Josh Homme, tells the story of 2 creatives, Iggy Pop and Josh Homme creating Iggy Pop's last and most successful album "Post Pop Depression".

In 2018, Neumann will release his second book, "American Valhalla", which will feature unseen images of one of the most highly rated music tours of icon IGGY POP and JOSH HOMME.

In 2020, Andreas Neumann received a Grammy award, recognizing his participation as a photographer on Desert Sessions Volume 11 & 12 for best recording package.
